You can say goodbye to political satire for awhile.

I have been a conservative-media loving fool lately. I loved hearing Rush and Sean the day after the election: "We're angry, but we're happy." Rush said that Sarah Palin saved the campaign. I LOVED THAT.
But the greatest joy was watching Carl Cameron tell Bill O'Reilly, that "Palin could not name all of the countries that are part of the North American Free Trade Agreement." In addition Sarah thought Africa was a country - not a continent.
I can't remember who quoted McCain sources as describing the Palin family as "Wasilla hillbillies on a Neiman Marcus looting spree." But may God bless them, too.
Oh, Sarah, my little Moose Breath. Thank you, so much, for being you and thank the Republicans so much for buying into it. After 8 years of President Bush, it's not easy to bring the original stupid, but you did. See you in 2012 or in the Senate in a few months. I love you.

"Thank You" to Tina Fey who did more to bring the Republican ticket down than mainstream media did.

The comedians came up huge but I give a reluctant nod to one of the mainstream media: Katie Couric. Tina Fey said that some of her Sarah Palin impression was verbatim quotes from that interview. So I guess we also have to acknowledge Sarah herself for bringing some of the best comedy SNL has turned out in years.

I think a reluctant nod to Katie Couric is the most she deserves. It's not like she asked Palin hugely difficult questions. When the Governor of Alaska couldn't name a newspaper she reads, difficult questions became moot.

I also feel grateful to those Canadian DJs. That's the kind of international cooperation we're looking for.

According to Thom Hartmann, when McCain quit the party for the night got got himself into his own SUV and drove his own self home. By himself.
Sarah Palin took her entourage of some eighteen friends and family members and took a full-blown motorcade to the airport.
Says volumes about the two.

Not that "Steve"
I quite agree.
Moreover, I've said it before and I'll say it again, if you're so lightweight that you get pwned by Katie Couric the Professional Journalist, then you're even shallower than we thought.

Bill Mac:
Then I dare you to go over to freerepublic.com and try to comprehend the pained outrage over there.
I tried but then I felt like the abyss was looking back into me after a few minutes, so I pulled back.

Pained outrage? I've had that for 8 years.

The NYT quotes a McCain advisor as saying that Ms. Palin "did not have "the bandwidth" to do preparation for her interview with CBS.
Well...on so many levels, that says it all for me!
I hope the RNC goes up to Alaska and takes back the clothes including those ridiculous high heels she was wearing at the Anchorage airport last night.
Maybe now the Palins can and will pay some attention to those poor misbegotten children of theirs. And with any luck at all she will not even be a foot note in the history of the USA.
Thank goodness we all escaped 4 years of the Wasilla hill-billies.

@BillMac:
I can relate. Me, after hearing that victory speech, felt like I finally got to exhale after holding my breath for almost eight years.

@portland native:
That person should never ever be allowed to use the word "bandwidth" again.
They use it, but I do not think it means what they think it does.

Get the new Newsweek. Quite the inside story on how much havoc she created. This was such a massive error on McCains part. Such bad news the Hillbilly family from Alaska...where on a clear day, you can see Russia.
